Israeli officers shot and killed a Palestinian toddler, during what they said was a car-ramming attack in the occupied West Bank, but the toddler was not even in the vehicle involved in the incident.
More than 10 children lose limbs in Gaza every day, meaning from the start of the war at least 1000 children have had amputations. When a child loses a limb, their bones keep growing which requires numerous surgeries. There is now a massive need for prosthetics, rehabilitation, and support for years to come.
Al Jazeera journalist Wael Dahdouh has returned to reporting just hours after Apartheid Israel killed his eldest son, and two other journalists in an air strike on their car.
This wasn’t the first time Wael had lost Family members, in October, his wife, another son, daughter and grandson were killed in an Israeli strike on a house, and in November Wael was injured in an Israeli strike that killed his colleague.
Israel says the war will continue throughout 2024 at a cost of an additional $13.6bn. Israeli ministers have also approved $2.5bn to pay military reservists.
Israel’s former Chief Justice Aharon Barak has been appointed to fight SA’s case at the International Court of Justice. SA’s case is supported by Bolivia, Malaysia, and Turkey. Hamas has called on Arab and Islamic countries to back South Africa’s case as well.
Israeli Knesset member Ofer Cassif expressed support for South Africa’s case at the International Court of Justice. However, a right-wing party quickly initiated proceedings to remove him from parliament and expel him from Israel, accusing him of treason for backing the case and thus supporting Hamas.
Dozens of Israelis have protested outside parliament in Jerusalem calling for the government to resign.
Israeli drones are targeting “anything that moves” in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The whereabouts and well-being of 600 patients as well as medical staff of the hospital staff are currently unknown.
Qassam Brigades have destroyed an Israeli troop carrier with an RPG in central Gaza.
Hezbollah has struck and damaged the IDF’s air traffic control base in the north of the country.
And the IDF has carried out overnight attacks on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
