Load shedding to escalate to Stage 4 on Tuesday morning
Load shedding will escalate to Stage 4 at 10:00 on Tuesday morning, and will last until 05:00 on Thursday, Eskom has announced.
This was after three units Kendal Power Station, with 1 920MW maximum generating capacity, suddenly tripped.
Eskom is expected to provide further details later
