Some young people have a pretty solid idea of what type of career they would like to have as an adult and tertiary education is beneficial in the long run but of course comes with a price tag. Luckily for many youngsters, parents endure that responsibility, but what about those that are financially challenged?

Well, that’s where SANZAF steps in… The South African National Zakah Fund, SANZAF, is a faith based organization that organizes a number of outreach activities and extends its services throughout the country.

Besides assisting those in need, SANZAF strives to empower, develop and nurture the youth through the SANZAF Education Empowerment and Development (SEED) programme. The programme focuses on Early Childhood Development, Youth and Community Development, Islamic Studies, Vocational Training and Higher Education.

Based on stringent criteria, SANZAF supports students in need of financial assistance for further studies, allowing them to venture off into a brighter future without the strain of financial difficulty and armed to face the world of work. The organization prides itself with their motto of changing lives through empowerment and relief.

But how does SANZAF sustain these upliftment and development projects? Through the generous zakaah contributions from the public of course. Yes, your zakaah contributions can help brighten up the future of a deserving young student.
