At least 10 people are believed to be dead following a shooting at a house in KwaMakhutha, south of Durban.
The incident took place in the Ziko area on Tuesday evening, when a group of 14 people were reportedly together at the property. According to reports, the deceased include nine males and one female.
According to initial reports, armed suspects entered the house and opened fire on those inside before fleeing the scene.
Police have begun an investigation and are examining the scene for clues that could help identify the perpetrators.
Investigators have yet to determine why the group was targeted. No arrests have been reported.
