Cheerful, generous, humble, caring, man with a heart of gold – these are just a few words that mildly describe the character of Marhoom Usman Ahmed.
Cii pays tribute to a remarkable humanitarian and well known businessman, Usman Ahmed.
The passing of Marhoom Usman, Director of XL Flywell Travel, came as a shock to many and triggered a sea of emotion locally and abroad.
Ahmed, 66, one of the best known figures in the travel industry, fought a long battle with Lymphoma.
No stranger to Channel Islam International, Usman Ahmed, will always be remembered as a long standing client of Cii Radio and will always be remembered for his courteous ways as well as for his generosity, zest and willingness to go the extra mile for his clients.
“My husband was the kindest man with a heart so big it held and prioritized belief, love and compassion. His hands had Rizk favored by Allah and his life was blessed by His goodness and mercy only.” Said Usman’s Wife, Freda Stuart Ahmed
Usman was a man that always had the best interest of the people at heart. He also served on the board of the Red Cross children’s hospital for many years.
When asked about the type of man Usman was, Freda replied: “His voice albeit strong, articulated the words of a gentle and obliging man. Usman the soulmate, family man, friend and father was a truly blessed man and Laila and I are proud to have known him as a father and my husband. Alhamdullilah”
Usman leaves behind his wife and daughter.
