Truly an emotional day as Hujjaj convene at the plains of Arafah for Day 2 of Hajj2016.
Khutbah was delivered by Shaykh Sudais. Some of the pertinent points that Shaykh Sudais made were:
• For the Muslim ummah to be united
• Oh Allah! Help the oppressed in Palestine Iraq Yemen Syria. Bring Peace & Harmony to our lands
• Oh Allah Give shifaa to the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia who stood on this mimbar for 35 years
• Oh Allah Keep the Ummah Steadfast. Remove the grief and guide the youth
• Oh Allah Protect the haramain. Whoever intends evil, you destroy them.
• Make the Hearts of Muslims steadfast on Deen and protect it from the jealous ones
• The Day Of arafah – a day when Allah tells the angels that he has forgiven his worshippers
• Oh Allah Honor the Muslims. Raise the truth of this Deen. Forgive the Ummah
• Increase in Salawat on Muhammed SAW
• Fulfill the rights of Hajj. Stay away from altercations. Allah is the Protector
• Day of Arafah is the day when Allah frees numerous people from jahanum
• Explained about the joining of Zuhr and Asr Salaah in Arafah. Join Magrib and Esha in Muzdalifa. As a musafir
• Emphasis on human values: respecting parents, honouring neighbours, keeping family ties
• Makes dua for the people that upkeep the Haram and the Ummah at large
• Dua of Hazrath Ebrahim for Makkah to be a sacred place
• The Haramain are protected. Do not raise any political agendas in the haram
• This is a place of sanctity till qiyamah. do not desecrate it
• Ulamah, your knowledge is your weapon. Use it to benefit the Ummah. Hold steadfast onto truth. Unite
• Ulamah are inheritors of ambiyaa, the guide to good. Do not become the reason for splitting the ummah
• Good upbringing of our children is our responsibility
• The best way, is the way of Islam, The best of you, is the one with the best character
• To be a good guide, it will benefit in both worlds. We have been taken out for the benefit of mankind
• People are striving to cause disunity in the ummah. They are calling muslims, Kufaar
• Terrorism has been spreading, because of our difference opinion, disunity of heart. innocent nations have suffered as a result
• Deal with justice. With Justice, goodness will increase.Muslims of the past were excellent guides
• We need together as the Muslim Ummah. We need to come back to unity for a common purpose
• Points from the farewell khutbah of Nabi SAW were reiterated
• Stay away from dishonesty. Whoever deceives us is not from us (hadith) work towards the benefit of society, not oneself
• No Arab is better than a non-Arab. Do good, as Allah has done good to you.
May Allah grant all the Hujjaj a Hajj Mabroor and Maqbool inshallah.
