Ahmad Almanasra, Head of the Commerce Chamber in Northern Al-Khalil (Hebron), said preparations are underway to organize the “Palestine Grape Festival 2016” in the West Bank.
The festival (Sep 19-21) will take place in the Palestinian town of Halhoul in Al-Khalil, the latter being the largest producer of grapes in the Palestinian Territories.
In a statement, Almanasra called all Palestinian societies to work towards making the festival a success.
Sahar Alasharwi, the Director of Agriculture in Northern Al-Khalil said Palestinian farmers compete to produce the best quality grapes which they display during the festival in an artistic way in order to attract many customers.
The festival aims to boost Palestinian agriculture in addition to highlighting Palestinian plants and culture. It also aims to support Palestinian farmers locally and internationally by promoting their products in the festival.
