Although a ceasefire in Gaza went into effect on Friday, October 10, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has continued to rise, reaching 67,913, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 170,134 others have also been injured.
Medical sources stated that 44 bodies, including 38 that were recovered from under the rubble, and 29 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.
This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
MEANWHILE
–A colonist kidnapped four citizens from the village of Beit Ur al-Fawqa, west of Ramallah, on Tuesday evening.
Local sources said that a colonist kidnapped four citizens near the settlement outpost built on Palestinian lands in Wadi Suleiman, near the neighboring village of al-Tira, after assaulting them.
The sources added that the occupation forces, which intervened to protect the colonist, assaulted citizens who tried to rescue the kidnapped youths, injuring four of them with bruises.
The occupation forces also detained two of the kidnapped youths, Khaled Munif Samara and Muhammad Ibrahim Samara.
The same colonist had assaulted a young man from the village yesterday and attempted to kidnap him.
