Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip early Friday, killing 26 people and wounding dozens more, according to hospital sources cited by Al-Jazeera.
In Gaza City, two people were killed in an airstrike on the Zaytoun neighborhood, while five others were killed when Israeli aircraft bombed a house in Tal al-Hawa.
In the Sudanese area, near the Hamad Hospital northwest of the city, medical crews recovered four bodies and rescued three injured people after an airstrike hit a tent sheltering displaced families.
Artillery shelling also caused casualties in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, coinciding with additional air raids across the Strip.
In the central Gaza Strip, two people were killed and others wounded when a drone struck an apartment building in Deir Al-Balah.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported receiving the bodies of three people and one seriously injured patient after Israeli drones targeted farmers on Abu Sultan’s land east of the city.
In Al-Bureij refugee camp, two Palestinians were killed and several others injured when Israeli forces bombed a house at dawn.
In Khan Yunis, Nasser Medical Complex reported at least five deaths and several injuries after tents sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area were hit by Israeli drone fire.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops opened heavy fire on Palestinians waiting for aid near the Netzarim junction, while another force entered the Talbani neighborhood east of Deir Al-Balah, supported by a military bulldozer, amid intense gunfire and artillery shelling.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that on Thursday alone, 71 people were killed and 339 wounded in a series of massacres targeting displaced and starving civilians.
