A convoy of 31 trucks carrying humanitarian aid provided by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent arrived in Sweida Governorate on Wednesday, delivering food, medical supplies, and equipment to support residents affected by recent events.

The medical and health aid will be distributed to health centers and hospitals in Sweida to support healthcare services, while the food baskets will help meet the needs of hundreds of families in several villages and towns.

The lighting equipment within the aid supplements will be allocated to install public lighting units in vital locations, contributing to improving services and daily living conditions for Sweida residents.

This aid convoy is the 18th one sent to Sweida Governorate as part of the Syrian government response in cooperation with local and international humanitarian organizations to meet the needs of residents affected by the recent events.

A previous aid convoy arrived Tuesday at the Busr al-Harir humanitarian corridor in Daraa countryside, en route to Sweida Governorate. This aid convoy is part of the response plan implemented by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

The 17th convoy included a truck containing seven dialysis machines to enhance the health services provided to patients in public hospitals, and 11 other trucks containing flour to support bakeries and ensure their continued operation.

The 16th aid convoy entered Sweida on the 24th of this month, facilitated by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, in coordination with relevant authorities and international partners, to meet the needs of affected families.
