Here’s your national weather update for Friday
KwaZulu-Natal
- Durban: Cloudy at times with a high of 22°C, low of 14°C. Slight chance of drizzle or light afternoon showers.
- Pietermaritzburg: Cooler inland with patchy cloud cover and isolated thundershowers possible.
Eastern Cape
- Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth): Cloudy and cooler with a high of 17°C, low of 14°C. Light rain or drizzle expected later.
- East London: Mild but overcast with possible coastal showers. High of 18°C, low of 15°C.
- Mthatha: Cool and unsettled with possible isolated thundershowers inland.
Mpumalanga
- Cloudy and cool with intermittent showers, especially in the escarpment and Lowveld areas. Mbombela: Estimated high near 20°C, with light drizzle possible in the afternoon.
Gauteng
- Johannesburg: Partly cloudy, high of 21°C, low of 7°C. Slight chance of a passing shower.
- Pretoria: Dry for most of the day, with a high of 22°C, low of 8°C. Cool morning and clear evening expected.
Limpopo
- Polokwane: Mostly clear early with a few clouds developing by midday. High of 21°C, low of 5°C.
- Slight chance of light rain in the far east of the province.
Free State
- Mostly cool and cloudy, with isolated afternoon thundershowers possible in the eastern parts. Bloemfontein: Cold start at 3°C, peaking at a mild 18°C.
North West
- Cool and dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures range between 20–22°C. No rain expected.
Western Cape
- Cape Town: Breezy and overcast, high of 15°C, low of 12°C. No rain, but conditions remain cool.
- Garden Route: Cloudy with possible light coastal drizzle later in the day.
Northern Cape
- Upington: Cooler than earlier in the week. Dry with a high of 20°C, low of 8°C.
- Kimberley: Partly cloudy and crisp, no rainfall expected.
