After 9 weeks of war, the shortage of women’s sanitary products has pushed ladies in Gaza to first start using nappies and then toilet roll to manage their periods, but even that is in short supply. This has led many women to develop urinary tract infections, which leads to pelvic infections and sepsis, which triggers inflammation throughout the body.
Some places in the South of Gaza are so crowded that 600 people share a single toilet. If each person used the toilet just twice a day, which is too little anyway, it amounts to 50 people using a single toliet every hour. This has led to an outbreak of diarrhea, which has affected children the most.
Reports show that Aparthied Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war on civilians.
The UN Special Rapporteur on Food Michael Fakhri said that every person in Gaza is facing starvation and called this situation a clear “genocide”. Israel has killed at least 18000 Palestinians in Gaza since the war began.
The Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza is currently under a siege that has lasted for four days already.
