Festive season is upon us and it is time that people should take extra care on the roads. It is a season that has in the past recorded high number of road accidents and fatalities. Many of these are due to an increased amount of people travelling to and from holiday destinations, negligence/recklessness such as drinking and driving and some due fatigue with drivers not resting enough. Whilst some road accidents occur because of the victims’ own recklessness, many other victims are affected without any (or very little) blameworthiness on their part. Many victims do not know that they qualify to successfully claim for compensation from the Road Accident Fund (RAF).
