Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has tasked Sheikh Hussein bin Abdelaziz Al al-Sheikh to give the Arafat sermon during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, according to a statement released by Mecca authorities.
Last year, Sheikh Saad Al-Shetri was tasked with delivering the Hajj sermon.
Sheikh Hussein bin Abdelaziz Al al-Sheikh is the imam and preacher of Masjidun Nabawi and a judge in the holy city of Madinah.
He teaches several classes on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Hadith (the traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, revered and received as a major source of religious law and moral guidance).
He also delivers several lectures in Riyadh’s main mosques.
