Below is an extract of the translation of the nasheed, “Dust is my Bed” (in Arabic: Farshi Turabi) It is about death and the grave and is very deep if one thinks about it thoroughly, which we should.
Dust is my bed (Farshid Thurab)
Dust is my bed,
embracing me,
and it is my cover
The sands are around me,
engulfing me,
even from behind me,
And the tomb recounts [ the story of ] the darkness
of my calamity
And the light has destined
that my pleasure is in meeting [Allah]
Watch the nasheed: Farshid Thurab – as a reminder of the deep message within it.
